Our Key Pillars

image

We have a team of great educational and child development practitioners and thinkers.

We thought deeply about meeting the needs of the modern child and the modern parent in order to establish The Academy. We want to offer the modern parent the rare opportunity of:

  1. Having their child educated in a learning ecosystem that is designed to meet the universal needs of childhood and growing up beyond literacy and numeracy.
  2. Having their child learn in a modern learning environment designed to meet the 21st Century learning needs.

To provide this, we settled on two pillars to inform the learning ecosystem at Intaspordiasm . These are Technology and Play.

Technology

At Intaspordiasm, we have made EdTech and digital gadgets, (tablets & laptops) compulsory in the classroom for all our students and teachers.

We are the first school in Kenya to do this because:

We are training your child for success in their digital future world, not an analogue past world.

We know how to use EdTech for learning in the classroom.

We want your child to benefit from the inexhaustible modern learning resources and opportunities provided by EdTech.

Play

When it comes to play, we don't play! It is the tragedy of modern day schooling and childhood that play, its spaces, opportunities and value have diminished. Intaspordiasm is committed to returning play into childhood.

Towards this end we have:

Created an expansive play oriented Campus resourced for spontaneous AGE DISAGGREGATED play.

Developed our teachers to routinely use play as an instructional methodology in class.

Use play to scout for sporting talent.

Institutionalized competitive play and sports in our School of Sports.

Competency Based Categories CBC Access.

Schools to cater for all kinds of learners

As the debate on Competency-Based learning (CBL) rages on and efforts to deliver it in a Competency-Based Curriculum are experimented with, most modern parents recognise the need to develop competencies in their children and want them to get the best exposure and opportunity to develop all possibilities while young. This is not an idle or overstated desire. Science and experience have proved that children stand a better chance of excelling in their chosen fields when they start early. We have created Competency Based Categories and established three schools, School of Sports, School of Media and Technology and School of Art and Design, to cater for learners who have shown special affinity towards these disciplines and would like to engage in them either exploratively or professionally.

01

Sports School

Mission: To identify, support and grow our learners talents and abilities in sports to competitive levels on the global stage.

Mission:To impart skills in the use of Information, Media and Technology (IMT) as a 21st Century competency .

At INTASPORDIASM. We take Edu-Tech very seriously and all our learning is technology driven. This will be available for all our students in the Schoolers Access.

For those who want to go beyond basic digital and media literacy in the regular classroom, and explore matters media and technology deeper, the Media and Technology School is for them.

03

Arts & Design School

Mission:To identify, support and grow our learner's talents and abilities in Art and Design to every individual's full potential.

One of the most specialised and personal human endeavours is art and its related disciplines. Children who would like to, in the least, explore these areas are constrained.

Many schools lack the willingness, capacity and facilities to allow children to explore talents in these areas.

At INTASPORDIASM we want to give your child a fighting chance in Art and Design.
